We run our own grid on ourselves

How stuck would you be with us?

Ephorian asks three questions about every supplier in your estate: could you rebuild the data elsewhere, do they decide who may do what, and do they learn from every use you make of them. Three yes answers means you cannot leave. Here are our own answers.

We hold 1 of 3

We hold one card — the one you want held — and we hand back the other two.

  1. 01

Could we rebuild this data somewhere else?

    No

We do not hold your data. Your estate is yours: your systems, your classifications, your evidence, your audit trail. Nothing here is ours to keep.

And we have tested it, on the same two-part rule we apply to your suppliers. A full estate was exported, opened and checked complete against a manifest that counts every table. Then a working day ran with our screen switched off — register read, overdue work read, a risk level proposed, and a confirmation refused — all over the wire, with every act in the audit trail. Our exit door is tested, not written.

  2. 02

Do they decide who is allowed to do what?

    Yes

We do decide who may do what. Only a named person in Legal can confirm a risk level, and no agent can, ever. This is the card we hold on purpose, and it is the reason to install us.

  3. 03

Do they get better every time we use them?

    No

We do not learn from your use. Your decisions, your reasoning and your sign-offs stay in your estate. Nothing crosses between customers, and there is no shared model that gets sharper the more of you there are.

Why publish a bad score

A governance product that hid its own grip would be the thing it warns you about. Two of these answers are weak for us and good for you, and the weakest one — that we cannot yet prove our own export — is on our list, not buried.

What would change this

If Ephorian ever learned across customers, this page would read 2 of 3 and the decision behind it would be published, not quietly edited.
